One of the largest in Russia in the early twentieth century, public education, philanthropic and artistic associations.

Emerged in the early 1909; unites artists, art teachers and art lovers. The basis of the Charter, approved January 26, 1909, were taken as the Charter of the Vologda art circle. According to him, the society aimed "mainly development of the Vyatka region in the field of fine arts. The initial goal of the society is expressed in concerns about the artistic development of this region and promoting the prosperity of both pure and applied art."

the Idea of its establishment originated after the "1-й exhibitions in Moscow and Vyatka artists" set up in Vyatka, with the participation of a range of future members. The first organizational meeting was held on 22 February 1909. It was attended by 20 people, because the permanent rule was chosen. Established a temporary Commission headed by a prominent public figure, one of the founders of the Russian art photography S. A. Lobovikov. Vice-Chairman elected A. I. the Pillars, Treasurer — Arc. M. Vasnetsov, Secretary — F. P. Kurilov. A second meeting was held on 15 March of the same year; permanent Chairman elected S. A. Lobovikov in 1912 he was replaced by A. M. Aleinikov, from 1914 in the head of the circle stood the mayor V. M. Ignatov. In 1909-1911 Board meeting took place in the apartment S. A. Lobovikova.

In a circle to join anyone, the membership fee was 2 rubles a year, with students — 1 ruble per year. Major donors were the merchant M. V. Mironov (one-time fee of 500 rubles), Vyatka gubernia Zemstvo (one-time fee of 100 rubles), S. A. Lobovikov (payment in 1909/1910 — 100), Z. D. Klobukova (payment in 1909/1910 — 50 rubles). In addition, S. A. Lobovikov annually transferred for implementation in favor of the company your photos and postcards.

Thanks to the efforts S. A. Lobovikova to cooperate in the circle had attracted many natives of Vyatka, including A. M. Vasnetsov, V. M. Vasnetsov, A. V. Isupov, A. A. Rylov. At the initiative of Vasnetsov, the club took on the task of creation in VyatkaArtistic-исторического Museum. The funds donated to the Moscow patrons — I. A. Morozov and M. K. Morozova. M. K. Morozova, was donated to the Museum 12 paintings: brothers A. M. Vasnetsov and V. M. Vasnetsov, S. A. Vinogradov, . V. Doskina, K. A. Korovin, E. I. Capital, M. V. Nesterov, V. Perepletchikova, A. S. Stepanov, V. I. Surikov, A. Arkhipov. Part of the work presented by the artists themselves. Donors were: H. M. Aladzhalov, A. M. Vasnetsov and V. M. Vasnetsov, S. A. Vinogradov, S. V. Ivanov, A. A. Rylov, V. N. Baksheev, A. V. Isupov, S. V. Gerasimov, I. O. Dudin, P. I. Kelin, S. T. Konenkov, A. M. Korin, S. V. Malyutin, . V. Meshcherin, S. V. Noakovsky, V. D. Polenov, A. N. Yudin and others. The Grand opening took place on 5 December 1910. The curator of the collection assigned . N. Khokhryakov. By 1912 the Museum's collection consisted of more than 40 works.

the Society held 3 exhibitions, which were attended by local and Moscow artists. First opened on may 22, 1910 in the building of the gymnasium im. T. F. Bulychev; was attended by 63 of artists, who provided 254 (painting, sculpture). In the second exhibition (1912) was attended by 53 artist, exhibited 277 works. In the framework of the second exhibition was arranged posthumous exhibition A. A. Repin. The third exhibition took place in 1913/1914. At exhibitions, the work valid and honorary members, presented works K. F. Bogaevsky, M. A. Vrubel, V. D. A. zamirailo, , K. A. Korovin, I. S. Ostroukhova, K. K. Pervukhina, I. I. Shishkin, A. N. Benoit, . M. Grigoriev, A. Arkhipov, M. P. Latri, V. N. Meshkov, A. P. Ryabushkin, V. N. Chekriguina, VF shtraniha and other masters.

Arranged public lectures on the arts, reports. In 1909, the club held a competition for the sketch of a cover for Vyatskaya of the magazine "Fisherman and hunter". At the initiative S. A. Lobovikova when the circle was organized by the mediation office for the execution of orders for Church and decorative painting, production of decorative-прикладного art, design and architectural projects. There was a discussion about the opening of the Vyatka branch of the Stroganov Central artistic-промышленного school. Appointed scholarship peasant boy for art education.

In 1910 the club had received from the Imperial Moscow archaeological society powers to the protection of local monuments.

At 31 December 1910 circle consisted of 96 full members and about 20 honorary members (artists who gave their works to the Museum and public figures, which mug a substantial services). In mid-1910-х the number of the circle decreased, circa 1918 company actually ceased operations. In 1927, with the assistance of former members was organized Vyatka branch of AHRR, the first Chairman of which was Artistic Director-исторического Museum N. N. Rumyantsev.
