ALADZHALOV Manuel (Manuk, Emanuel) Hristoforovich

born in a family of merchants. In 1880-1891 he studied at MUZHVZ in A. Savrasov, I. Levitan, IM Pryanishnikova, Vladimir Makovsky. In 1887 and 1889 for the drawing and sketch was awarded two small silver medals, in 1890/1891 - a large silver medal.

lived in Moscow. He worked as a landscape painter, watercolorist. Repeatedly traveled to central Russia and the Volga. Exhibited their work at student exhibitions in MUZHVZ (1882-1885, 1887-1891), exhibitions of the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts (1889-1890, 1892-1899, 1901; since 1893 - Member of the Society), the Moscow Association of Artists (1894, 1895, 1897), TPHV (1900-1902), 36-year-artists (1901-1903), "World of Art" (1903). In 1903 he co-founded the Union of Russian artists, however, active participation in exhibitions are not accepted. He was a member of the artistic circle of "Environment". In 1902 he taught at the Central Stroganov School of Technical Drawing (Stroganov School of Industrial Art).

After the 1917 revolution continued to work actively. In 1927 he became one of the founding members of the Society realist artists (participated in the first and second exhibition of the Society, 1927-1928). Exhibited his work at the 2 nd National Exhibition of paintings in Moscow (1919), the exhibition association "Fire-color" (1925), exhibitions of Soviet art abroad.

Aladzhalov belongs to a prominent painters of the first third of the twentieth century, the tradition of Russian landscape school. In his works he revealed the beauty of nature in central Russia, the favorite motifs of the artist were rustic winter landscapes. Wrote thick paste-like strokes, using a limited number of colors in an effort to preserve the impression of immediacy and freshness of live-color.

Aladjalova works are in many museum collections in Russia, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, the State Literary Museum, Penza Regional Picture Gallery of. K. Savitsky, Khimki Art Gallery, the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum im. VPSukachev and others.
