from artistic family barons Klodt: the grandson of the sculptor PK Klodt, nephew of the painter MP and M. Klodt. Studied at MUZHVZ (1880-1886) by Vladimir Makovsky, IM Pryanishnikova, P. Sorokin, VD Polenova (Course not finished).

lived in Moscow. He painted landscapes, Animalistic scenes in the Impressionist vein, in his work was influenced by Korovin. On orders of horse breeders created the image of horses. From 1901 as a painter-decorator collaborated with various theaters in Moscow (Bolshoi Theater, Little Theater) and St. Petersburg. Was the main executor of the scenery on sketches Korovin, collaborated with Alexander Golovin. In 1900, together with Korovin performed panels for the Northern and Siberian divisions at the World Exhibition in Paris (awarded a bronze medal).

Since 1883 - participant of exhibitions (student's, MUZHVZ). Member and exhibitor of the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts (1889-1898, with interruptions), the Moscow Association of Artists (1893-1901, with interruptions), the Moscow Art Society (since 1917), combining "painters" (from 1917). One of the founders of the Union of Russian Artists, in 1907, 1911-1913 and 1916 was a member of the Committee CPX. Also participated in exhibitions TPHV (1894), combining 36-year-artists (1901-1903), exhibition of paintings, sculptures and art industry in Ryazan (1918).

traveled to the northern regions of Russia (Finland, the Kola Peninsula, Arkhangelsk, Solovetsky Islands, 1889, 1895-1896, 1899-1900), Turkestan (Tashkent, Samarkand, 1898), the Volga (1890, 1903, 1912-1913), Crimea (1903, 1909-1911, 1914, 1916, 1917), Moscow (1913-1918). I visited in Paris (1900), Brittany, Geneva, Biarritz, Nervi, Genoa (1906, 1908, 1911).

taught in classes of Fine Arts, artist-architect AO Gunst, MUZHVZ (1902-1918).

In 1940 Moscow hosted the personal exhibition of the painter.

Klodt works are in many museum collections, among them - the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum, Sevastopol Art Museum and others.
