Edward P. Putintsev was born in 1930 in Moscow. In 1955 he graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute. Worked in Yakutia, where he studied design and construction of residential and public buildings. In 1960-1961 he studied at the Higher Royal College of Art in Oslo (Norway). In 1963 he defended his thesis on the northern town planning. In the same year began working in the town of Mirny, which gave him material for the development of the project Aikhal - the first city with an artificial microclimate for which was awarded the Gold Medal World's Fair in Montreal.

The Project E. Putintseva built more than 50 public buildings in Moscow, Dnepropetrovsk, Ulyanovsk, Nukus, New Urengoy, Stavropol, Bukhara, Mongolia, Ghana, and other cities and countries. He has authored over 70 scientific papers and books on the northern town planning.

for professional creative work of E. Putintsev awarded the title of "Honorary Architect of Russia" "Honored Builder of the Kara-Kalpak Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic", he was awarded the State Prize of USSR Council of Ministers - the design and construction of the Nukus State University, a diploma of the World Biennial in Sofia - for the "city of the future in the Far North».

E. Putintsev travels a lot for our country and countries around the world, recording his impressions in quick, sharp and accurate travel sketches. Master of Sports in mountaineering, he conquered the Caucasus mountains, Yakutia, and the Pamirs. Nature of about 50 countries around the world captured in his paintings and graphic works.

The exhibition includes paintings and watercolors different years, beginning in late 1940 to the present. This landscapes of Central Russia, Karelia, Altai Magadan, Crimea, old Russian towns, the Middle East, Norway, France, Mongolia and others harmonious in color and compositional studies there is a special, deeply personal look at the world around the artist. Near the chamber lyrical works are paintings of epic sounding. His colorful "travel notes" filled with awe before the majesty and mysterious power of primeval nature, the beauty of the monuments of ancient architecture, have brought the artist Putintsev-wide recognition.

Works E. Putintseva are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery and other art museums, as well as in numerous private collections in Russia and abroad. He is a member of many art exhibitions, among them - personal exhibition in Moscow, Leningrad, Yakutsk, Sofia, Ulan Bator, Paris. In 2006 and 2007 Putintsev participated in the Pan-European forum-salon "Cultural Heritage" in Paris.
