In the halls of the Russian Museum opened an exhibition of Yuri Borisovich Hrzhanovskogo (1905-1987), a student of PN Filonov. The composition of the exhibition includes about 50 paintings and 150 drawings the artist. Among them, a large painting pictures «Siberian partisans», part of the famous exhibition of pupils PN Filonov House Press in 1927. The first shows pictures filonovskogo period and earlier works created during the years of study in Irkutsk. In 1930 Yu Hrzhanovsky began working on stage as a professional actor, but did not give up, and painting. Watercolors 1930-1950 represent a series of vast landscapes and domestic sketches. Works by late 1960-1980's, often irrelevant, and are related to «art music», which the artist loved all his life: «fugue», «invention», «improvisation».
