Dorotheum auction house to part with the online auction OneTwoSold, deciding that he did not survive the competition with eBay

In 2001, the Austrian auction house Dorotheum merged with the Internet company OneTwoSold, conducting online auctions. Recently it was reported that the company decided to part. OneTwoSold purchased online platform Ricardo, owned by South African media group Naspers. Dorotheum became an independent company.

Dorotheum remain dissatisfied with the way the case came from OneTwoSold. In Austria, an online auction was not as popular as planned, largely because of competition with other similar web sites, particularly eBay. Now Dorotheum, which is one of the oldest auction houses in the world, is actively growing. Recently, he has a representative in the United Kingdom - Beaufort-Sponten Pauline (Pauline Beaufort-Spontin).
