Tonight Institute of Russian Painting in conjunction with the gallery "Art Deco" is a new cultural project - exhibition Images of Art Deco » and a series of lectures" Inoculation savagery: from the Russian ballet to the decorative style. " The project is dedicated to the works of Russian artists of the first quarter of the XX century, who worked in the style of Art Deco, and is closely related to the artistic life of Western Europe. Points of convergence and interaction of Russian and Western culture appears theatrical-decorative art, painting and sculpture of the interwar decades.
Exposition of the three sections of the exhibition - "Russian Ballets of Diaghilev", "Sculpture 1920. "and" Art Deco in Russian Art "- amount to more than 50 works by Russian and Western European artists of the XX century from private collections. Most of the works will be shown publicly for the first time in Russia. The exhibition includes works and Kustodiev and Sergei Sudeikin , Erte and Chiparusa .
