Today, 13 May, at 17.00 in halls Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery (Prechistenka, 19) opens the exhibition "Art of the twentieth century in a meeting of the Kirov Museum of Art».

exhibition devoted to 100 anniversary of the founding of one of the oldest museums in the Russian provinces. In his organization involved not only representatives of the local culture, Vjatsky groups in the face VM and AM Vasnetsov , NG Mashkovtsev, but also the famous Moscow collectors: MK Morozova, AI Morozov, SI Shchukin.

museum's collection includes works by Russian and foreign masters of painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative art - more than 20 thousand exhibits, invariably causing great interest among specialists and visitors.

exhibition presents a unique collection of Russian and Soviet art of the twentieth century, which is worthy of the artistic heritage of a bygone era. The exhibition consists of different stylistic concepts of work, vividly reflecting the spirit of the time.

It works by artists of Russian avant-garde, and various creative groups beginning of the twentieth century - AHHR, OST, "Makovec, masters of social realism and artistic direction of the turn of the 1950 - 1960 - "severe style", a collection of paintings of the second half of the century, including the original national schools.

collection is represented by such famous names as Kandinsky , Rodchenko , VF Stepanova , NA Udaltsova , PP Konchalovsky , AA Osmerkin , R. Falk , S. V. Gerasimov , AM Gritsay , GG Nyssa , Yuri Pimenov , NM Romadin , VF Stozharau , LV tavern, In . E. Popkov and others.

museum's collection of paintings and graphics that is included in the exhibition, will allow not only a new way to see the works of famous artists, but also significantly expand understanding of history of art of the twentieth century as a whole.
