Of course, the legacy of the artist has extensive: only in Saratov Sevastyanov established as an artist over thirty productions, and even a few dozen - in the Novosibirsk and Leningrad, numerous productions in the eighties in theaters countries whereas the socialist camp and the Soviet republics . Total - about two hundred theatrical productions! Each production - is a few tens if not hundreds of pieces of cardboard or paper meter size, painted gouache, tempera, watercolors. Thirties - early forties years in Saratov - a huge success for the novice painter. First and foremost is the city where the «density» of bright and talented Russian artists «per unit of time and space» exceeded all reasonable limits. And while the forties, when Sevastyanov studied and began to work, Victor Borisov-Musatov , Pavel Kuznetsov , Petrov-Vodkin and Utkina in Saratov was not, all the prerequisites for learning and life in a unique artistic environment created.
He studied at the Theater-Set course Saratov Art College. Entrance to the school was, in fact, the side entrance to the building Radischevskaya museum. The museum, originally formed AP Bogoliubov , with its unique collection of French paintings (Alexander III permitted to select for the Bogoliubov the museum a number of paintings from the Hermitage store, Imperial Academy of Fine Arts Museum was the donor) to the fortieth years of the twentieth century has been - one of the paradoxical actions of Soviet power - a first manned Russian painting of modern times. All this together gave the opportunity to get a truly European art education in hundreds of kilometers away from Moscow and Leningrad and thousands - of European capitals.
In college, he was a student and I. Shcheglova B. Milovidov , a student Utkina . During the war years - again to the question regarding the time and place of his fate - he became a disciple and assistant , the chief artist evacuated to Saratov Moscow Arts Theater, in his youth - a student of Petrov-Vodkin and experimental studio Sun studio. E. Meyerhold. After the war - a disciple of N. Gushchina, a prominent Russian artists abroad. He again appeared in Saratov «thanks» ban on residence in the capital after the return from exile in 1947. Then back to Saratov, after ten years of Stalin's camps, another brilliant artist, a man from the debris of the Silver Age - Valentin Yustitsky.

In fact, by the way, great Russian theater. Stage depth of 30 meters with a fly height of 29.5 meters. The Great Hall holds about 2 000 visitors. And all this splendor - to the artist's main theater. In Novosibirsk, Sevastyanov put «Enchantress», «May Night», «Sadko», «Romeo and Juliet», «The Tale of Tsar Saltan», «Swan Lake», «Boris Godunov» and much more - almost all of the classical operatic repertoire, and a lot of ballets. There were also many experimental things: Hungarian opera classics Frents Erkel «Bank Ban», Ballet Chinese Zhang Xiao-hu «Precious flower lotus». In Novosibirsk, Sevastyanov was named National Artist of the RSFSR. This meant many in the artistic hierarchy in the sixties of the last century. Indeed, it remains one of the criteria of professional artist and a realistic assessment of its achievements. «The People's Artist» under Soviet rule that was not said, as the title of «class artist» in the czarist Russia.
In the years 1963-1976 Sevastyanov worked at the Kirov Theater in Leningrad. Some of the most beautiful designs of this period - to the «Russian» Opera and Ballet - published in the printed catalog for the exhibition. «Prince Igor», «Boris Godunov», «Khovanshchina», «The Tsar's Bride» - constant part of any Russian opera repertory theater. Here, Sevastianov had many predecessors: from , Korovina , Dobuzhinsky , Golovina to Roerich and Fyodorovsky . All are to some extent influenced his artistic style. Portfolio Sevastyanova, of course, are common traditions of Russian theater art.
Throughout his life Sevastyanov was demanded as an artist. Since 1952, he participated in all major exhibitions of theatrical-decorative art. And in 1971 went solo exhibition in Moscow.
