Wanderers from the Russian Museum in the Netherlands
In the Drenthe Museum in the city of Assen opened an exhibition from the collection of the timing "of the Wanderers. Russian realism and Repin 1870-1900"
the exhibition contains more than 70 works — Fyodor Vasilyev, Vasily Vereshchagin, Ivan Kramskoy, Arkhip Kuindzhi, Isaac Levitan, Konstantin Makovsky, Alexei Savrasov, Valentin Serov, Ivan Shishkin, Nikolai Yaroshenko and, of course, Ilya Repin.
Dutch viewer submitted such acknowledged masterpieces as "Portrait of writer L. N. Tolstoy" Nikolai GE, knight at the crossroads" by Viktor Vasnetsov, "Silenced" Nikolay Dubovsky, "moonlit night on the Dnieper" Arkhip Kuindzhi, "Dmitry-царевич victims" Mikhail Nesterov, "the Moscow girl of the XVII century" Andrey Ryabushkin, "Guitarist-бобыль" Vasily Perov, "The capture of snow town" Vasily Surikov, etc.
Special attention of the organizers of the exhibition was devoted to the Ilya Repin: the exhibition presents nine of his works, including "barge haulers on the Volga", "Sadko", "What a space!" etc.
This is not the first exhibition of the Russian Museum, the Museum of Drenthe in Assen. The exhibition "the Soviet myth", dedicated to the art of socialist realism 1930-60-х was there at the turn of 2012/2013.
