The vanguard of the Ekaterinburg Museum at the exhibition in Budapest

the Exhibition "Revolution in art" from the collection of the Yekaterinburg Museum of fine arts opened in the Hungarian national gallery (Budapest) from 29 January to 1 may 2016.

In Europe, brought one of the most significant and interesting collections of painting of Russian avant-garde early XX century: forty outstanding works of such famous Russian artists as Kazimir Malevich, Wassily Kandinsky, Alexander Rodchenko and, El Lissitzky, Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov. The collection clearly demonstrates the enormous diversity of avant-garde movement and includes almost all of his directions: neoprimitivism, cubism, Cubo-futurism, abstract expressionism, Suprematism, constructivism.

Two Suprematist paintings: "Kitchen" Nadezhda Udaltsova and "Suprematism" by Kazimir Malevich arrived in Budapest from Basel, which previously was exhibited at the exhibition "0,10: Malevich, Tatlin and the birth of new systems in art".

a Permanent exhibition of the Yekaterinburg Museum of fine arts, dedicated to the Russian artistic avant-garde of 1910-20-х years, was dismantled in the spring of 2015 in connection with forthcoming reconstruction of the building on the street Weiner, 11, and the creation of culture-просветительского center "Hermitage-Урал". After the exhibition in Budapest paintings from the collection of AMII will return to Ekaterinburg, and they can be seen again at the end of 2016.

After the exhibition, which was held with great success in the premises of the Free art studios in may 1920, the paintings that arrived especially for the exhibition, remained in Ekaterinburg. So in the capital of the Urals was a unique collection of Russian art of the avant-garde of the early XX century, and eventually included as its founders and recognized luminaries and lesser known or forgotten authors.
