Today, in the Marble Palace Russian Museum opens exhibition from the collection of Moscow artist and collector Annamuhameda Zaripova , which will be presented as works from his collection, and the work of the master. The exhibition includes more than 150 works of painting, sculpture and graphics. The organizers of the exhibition attempted to show the artistic process of twentieth-century Russian art through the prism of a single private collection.

Annamuhamed Zaripov was born in 1947 in the Turkmen village Sakar-Chaga ( «striped desert»), near the ruins of the ancient capital of Great Seljuk - Merv. From childhood, directly communicating with the legacy of ancestors, the future artist passion for painting, modeling clay, as well as gathering old Cherepkov, amphorae, ancient Turkmen jewelry, coins, etc. This is a hobby turned vocation for life.

finished the eight grade, in spite of the prohibition of the father, left for Ashgabat, and without any training received in art school, which graduated with honors in 1966. After that he went to Moscow and entered into the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography at the Arts Faculty. Already during my studies designed several productions in Moscow and Ashgabat, worked in the studio «Turkmenfilm», received the first orders for paintings, and began systematically collecting activity mainly in the Moscow artists. A. Zaripova first works were exhibited in 1968 at the Republican youth exhibition in Ashgabat. Since then he has conducted over twenty personal exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

Appearance plays a Brazilian playwright G. Figueiredo «Fox and the Grapes», in 1976, brought him to All-Union recognition. Scenography became Zaripova springboard into the world of high art. But in the theater, he did not go as well as did not stay in the cinema. His talent has found its realization in easel painting.

Zaripova works are in many museums, including the Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum, Museum of Art East nations, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, the National Museum in Warsaw, the Museum in Kaunas and Chyurlenisa Ashgabat Museum of Fine Arts, as well as in private collections in Europe, the United States, Japan, India, Bangladesh.

His collecting activity Zaripov began in 1973. For many years he collects paintings, drawing, sculpture is not only known, «recognized» authors and artists, whose sincerity and talents have not been adequately evaluated in their lives. Since 1977, Zaripov arranged for the Moscow club of artists previously banned or unjustly neglected masters 1920-30-ies. Systematically Zaripov show his collection only began in 2002. The collection, which the artist calls the «Museum of Art chamber», - more than 2 000 pieces, ranging from ancient amphorae, lamps, Cherepkov, ending with the works of artists of the twenty-first century (painting, drawing, sculpture). Core collections to date are the work of Moscow artists - contemporaries of the collector with whom he had in 1960-80-s hand in hand was their own creative path. It was a time of intensive search for new paths in art, which without exaggeration can be called one of the brightest periods of Russian art. One of the principal features of collectible Zaripova - closeness to the spirit, peresekaemost creative ambition that has allowed to buy his collection intact, and the museum: the artists represented in the development, sometimes in unexpected creative perspectives. Among the works displayed at the exhibition - the work N. Nesterova and T. Nazarenko , E. Grigorieva , IM and L. Tabenkinyh , M. Feigin , A. Tyshlera , E. Struleva , Shulzhenko , A. Slepysheva , I. , A. Grositskogo , L. Pisareva, brothers A. and P. Smolin, B. Yankylevsky and others, as well as works by the 1920-40-ies ( D. Burliuk , L. Zhegin, Zefirov , V. Pestel , A. Sofronova , etc.), and 1960 2000's of A. Zaripova.

Interestingly, that does not separate the artist's own collection of art and collector's items, and exhibits his works in the same space.
