Top lot of the group - a rare painting in 1908 under the name "Versailles. Alley "(estimate: 0,8-1,2 million pounds), which has never appeared on the market. Lifetime popularity Konchalovsky, who is considered one of the most brilliant artists of his time, then not at all diminished. In 2002, work was exhibited at the exhibition "Unknown Konchalovsky", held in the Pushkin Museum. Alexander Pushkin. In 2010 took place just two prominent exhibitions devoted to heritage Konchalovsky: the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg and the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
Painting "Versailles. Alley "was written by the artist in 1908 during a trip to Arles, which inspired most of Vincent van Gogh. The influence of a great artist can be traced in the composition of paintings, filled with power and light. The color palette paintings, with rich purple and ocher hues, also refers to the paintings of van Gogh, as well as expressive, expressive brushstrokes. It is known that extremely demanding in respect of their works, Konchalovsky has destroyed a number of works created at the time, and every painting was preserved, hence, the master found it meaningful.

Since 1909 year, Konchalovsky as the leader of the Russian avant-garde art and a participant of the "Knave of Diamonds" are often exhibited his work along with representatives from such entities as the "Golden Fleece", "partnership", "World of Art" and "New Society of Artists." In 1922 he hosted the first exhibition of his work at the Tretyakov Gallery, and two years later, his work has successfully exhibited in New York, Venice and Moscow. In the upcoming auction catalog also includes two recent works of the artist - "Still Life. Oranges and radishes. Kislovodsk "in 1934 (estimate 350-450 thousand pounds) and" Still Life. Tobacco Leaves "in 1931 (estimate 100-200 thousand pounds). The fourth of the works put up for auction - one of the first experiments, impressionistic artist - the canvas earlier in 1904 under the title "Sadik, near Rome. Peaches in bloom "(estimate 200-300 thousand pounds).

Painting "Girl in white, sitting in the garden" brush Konstantin Korovin (1861-1939) was an excellent example of a game of colors and light, which is characteristic of more mature period of the artist (estimate: 0,8-1,2 million pounds). By 1915, the inception of this work, Korovin abandoned monochrome palette in favor of bold colors, which, according to his own opinion, expressed "the breath of nature." It is not known exactly where it was written this canvas, but on the composition solution is similar to the works created by the artist in the years 1910-1917, when he was resting in the summer Gurzuf.

Another work Korovin - canvas "In the artist's studio" (estimate 300-500 thousand pounds) - has the same provenance as the previous lot. Both paintings were purchased directly from the artist Semyon Bjelica, who in 1978 sold them to the present owner. In the past 30 years the picture has not publicly exhibited, its existence was known only to a few critics, notably Ilya Zilberstein reproduced it in a book in 1971, "Konstantin Korovin recalls." In 1892 Korovin moved to Paris, where he spent the next two years. This work shows us the true state of the artist at the moment, since it Korovin depicted in the studio, which he called "the salvation of the world's meanness, evil and injustice».

Painting Alexander Yakovlev (1887-1938) «Aua, tribal woman gang - one of the iconic artist's works, executed during the Expedition "Black Flight", a superb example of artistic reportage (estimate 750-950 thousand pounds). Canvas have been exhibited and is often used in numerous publications about the artist, it is a shining example of how strongly portraits Yakovlev differ from conventional ethnographic documentary sketches. In January 1925, members of the expedition to Africa, organized by the French car company Citroen, reached the city Yalinga, which was written "Aua ...." This stylized portrait reveals the artist's passion for an accurate reflection of ethnographic detail, its sensitivity and humanity. Upon his return to Paris in 1926, Yakovlev put a picture in the gallery at the Louvre and Charpentier, both the exhibition enjoyed wide popularity among the Parisians. Painting has long been a proponent of private collections of the expedition Georges Marie Haardta and was not present at the auction for more than 40 years.

Cloth Isaac Levitan (1860-1900) «water's edge" (estimate 300-500 thousand pounds) over the life of three generations is, in a private collection. Beautiful and naturalistic forms illustrate the love of the Russian people to the vast expanses of their country. The composite image resolution coastline attracts the viewer's attention to the places that the artist has designated expressive strokes. The illusion of the scattered light, giving the picture depth and creating a perspective effect is achieved by careful gradations of color palette and how to paint on canvas.

appearance at auction Work (1817-1900) «The Great Pyramid of Giza", created in 1878, is currently event for the entire art market (estimate 300-500 thousand pounds). The ancient culture of Brittany, the monuments of medieval architecture, clean air and picturesque scenery have been the artist with inspiration and new ideas in the field of composition, texture and color palette of his works.
