Yesterday, the leading auction houses Sotheby's and Bonhams auction held in London on the works of Russian art

Yesterday in London, ended the first day «week Russians bid» Sotheby's in London. The results of the evening auction of works of Russian art was 14,155 million pounds and have not reached estimeyta in 17,5-24,8 million. Commenting on the results of previous auctions, head of the Russian Art Sotheby's Joe Vickery (Jo Vickery) reported that in the current difficult economic conditions, she was very satisfied with the results. She also reported that they have set new price records for works by Russian artists of the seven, and added that 30 percent of the buyers arrived at the auction of the CIS countries.

The most expensive lot was the painting Mikhail Larionov «was uncovered», which was sold for 1385 million pounds, which does not, however, exceeded the upper boundary estimeyta to 1,2-1,5 million. Second place in the list is the canvas «Tolkuchy market in Moscow» Vladimir Makovsky , which has established a new record for the works of the masters - 1239 million pounds (with estimeyte in 1-1,5 million). Great success at the tender enjoyed working Nicholas Roerich . The most expensive of them was painting «Order», worth nearly five times higher than the lower estimeyt at 250-350 thousand, and amounted to 1105 million pounds.

Significantly higher estimeyta (250-350 thousand) was the amount the buyer paid for the work Basil Polenov «Egyptian girl », - 1049 million pounds. She also was a record for work by this artist.

On the same day in the British capital was the auction of imperial and royal gifts Sotheby's, with top lots that want to look at pre-show in Moscow on 8 and 9 November . The results are very pleased auction organizers, because revenue is almost twice higher than estimeyt (748-1 101 thousand pounds) and was 1.952 billion pounds. It sold 94 percent of lots, of which 78.7 per cent higher than estimeyt. Top-lot auction - a miniature portrait of Empress Maria Feodorovna in Faberge frame with an estimated 60-80 thousand pounds, went under the hammer for 229 thousand. For a desktop bell works Faberge Michael Pershina (40-60 thousand pounds), buyers were willing to pay 133 thousand pounds.

Yesterday in London, works of Russian art is also sold at auction auction house Bonhams . Among the most expensive lot was an early work Vasily Vasily Kandinsky «On the shore of the sea», which was estimated at 100-150 thousand pounds and get a buyer for 120 thousand pounds. High results also showed work Natalia Goncharova «Winter: gathering firewood» - 150 thousand pounds (at estimeyte in the 150-200 thousand).
