Biographical information about the artist scarce.

occurred from a Jewish family. In 1878 he joined the IAH in St. Petersburg. For drawings and sketches from nature have repeatedly pointed medals: in 1881 - a small silver medal in 1883 - small and large silver medals, in 1885 - a large silver medal. In 1886 the program completed a picture of the St. Irina heals of St. Sebastian "for which he was awarded a small gold coin. In 1887 was awarded a large gold medal for the program "Metropolitan devotes Ivan the Terrible in the schema", is released from the Academy with the rank of class artist 1-th degree with the right to a pensioner's travel abroad.
