son of a landowner, a nephew of the writer AF Pisemsky. In 1880, for "landscape oils" was awarded a small silver medal in 1883 - for pictures and sketch - two small silver medals in 1884 for "landscape in oils and in 1885 for the picture - the big silver medals. Twice (1886 and 1887) participated in the competition for the small gold medal, but to no avail. In 1887, for the scenery "on the Volga", "In the Shadow", "In the steep banks", "Spring" and the other was a large silver medal and the title of the class artist of the 3rd degree. lived in St. Petersburg. In 1890 traveled to North Africa. He painted mostly landscapes, a lot of work in watercolor, as a draftsman has manifested itself in works executed pen and ink. Book illustrations, in particular, designed the book P. Eliseev "the wide world" (St. Petersburg, 1902). He taught at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts (1895-1913), where he "shared" classes.
