Silver age in Russian art came in a tumultuous and difficult years of the First World war and the Civil war, the February and October revolutions which have inevitably left an imprint on the fate of artists. Many were forced to leave the country, and those who remained had to adapt to the new reality.

Many of the 108 works of painting, graphics and sculpture from the collection of Yury Nosov exhibited rarely or even for the first time: Vasily Masyutin, Nikolai Krymov, Konstantin Korovin, Zinaida Serebryakova, Maximilian Voloshin, Stanislav Zhukovsky, Boris Kustodiev, Peter Petrovicheva, Leonard Turzhansky, Konstantin Somov and many others.

noses collects Russian art for a long time and very selectively. Despite the fact that the Foundation of his collection was purchased in 1960 put-х works of nonconformist Anatoly Zverev (he bought them, as it did in those years, many lovers of art directly from the artist when he came to visit), the interest eventually shifted to the "World of art", "knave of diamonds", "Union of Russian artists", "Makovets" and "Group 13" — artistic associations associated with the Silver age of art in Russia.
