Today at the State Museum of A. S. Pushkin opens exhibition of works by renowned book Illustrator Vladimir Milashevskogo "Illustration as true to the style. Exhibition of book graphics. To the 120th anniversary of the artist", the exhibition which includes works from the collection of the state Pushkin Museum and the Voronezh regional art Museum named. I. N. Kramskogo@

Vladimir Alexeyevich Milashevskiy (1893-1976) was born in the Caucasus, in Tbilisi, in the family of revolutionaries. Childhood and adolescence spent on the banks of the Volga river in Saratov, rich artistic traditions (here he began his creative path Borisov-Musatov, Petrov-Vodkin, Savinov, Utkin, and many other prominent artists). The skill of the artist studied at the Higher art school at the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, where his teachers were Е. Lancer, А. Benoit, М. Dobuzinsky@

the Artist left a great musical legacy. The range of his work is extremely wide. Vladimir Milashevskiy was a great painter, a brilliant watercolorist, a master of the landscape and the psychological portrait; he successfully tried his hand at lithography and as a theater artist.
