Today in the Moscow museum of modern art exhibition opens Tatiana Selvinsky “Game of the classics”

Today, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Tverskoy Boulevard, 9) will open the exhibition of Tatiana Selvinsky «Playing classics», devoted to the birthday of the author. The exhibition presents works created over the last decade of creative career artists: works from the series «Dedication» (1997), «Playing classics» (2005), «Painter and model» (2007), the combined theme of the dialogue with the great masters of the past.

In his art Tatiana Selvinsky appeals to a variety of sources, drawn from the baggage of visual memory. Among her works is the painting on the Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, Velazquez, Vermeer - they reveal the symbolic space, the total for different authors. As a theater artist Tatiana Selvinsky is receptive and responsive glance, not being afraid to experiment with form and color.

The exhibition consists of 9 paintings from this series.

next cycle, «Playing classics», refers to the year 2005. Here I wanted to show that people around me, no less significant than those who wrote the great master.

Finally, Series «Painter and model», the theme of many of my predecessors and contemporaries. And again the game: as the model base is with our sponsors. While writing this series, felt the unusual heat - seemed to me to thank for the memory of them.

A new work - poliptih «Polyhymnia - Muse hymns»: 6 Music have joined the writers, composers and artists. In fact, all art knitted together and are inseparable.

Tatiana Selvinsky was born in 1927 in the home the poet IL Selvinsky. In 1953 he graduated from the Moscow Art Institute named after VI Surikov (workshop MI Kurilko ), where her teachers were the great masters - Robert Falk and Alexander Tyshler . Working theater artist, signed nearly 200 performances in Moscow, Saratov, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Kostroma, Magadan, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Ufa, Tashkent and other cities of Taganrog.

Selvinsky - party set of exhibitions, personal (more than fifteen) and group (preference displayed by her students), among which the exhibition in the Small Manezh in 1998. In 1989 her personal exhibition was held in New York (United States).

Portfolio Selvinsky are in the Tretyakov Gallery, Theater Museum of AA Bakhrushin theater museums of St. Petersburg and Kiev, art galleries Cheliabinsk, Simferopol, Bryansk. Since the early 1970's, the artist writes poems, it is the author of poetry collections «Dedication» (1989), «Confrontations» (1993), «Face to Love» (1994).
