Rena Tsuzmer «Improvisation» : on January 18, 2009 ; Petrovka 25, 3rd Floor
Rena Tsuzmer - artist, managed to say a new word in the ancient art of ceramics. For 40 years she struggled with the prevailing artistic stereotype - the perception of ceramics as a craft. Pieces of ceramics Tsuzmer exempt from the usual household functions, believing that these objects in the house should enter the beauty. The artist brings together the art of pottery painting and sculpture, giving it the ability to trigger a complex experience of the image.
Ilana Raviv «Reflections» : on January 18, 2009 ; Tverskoi Boulevard, 9, (Gallery «Zurab»)
This project will become a kind of continuation of the personal exhibition Ilany Raviv, which took place in October 2007 - January 2008 in the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) and included a large work acryl on canvas. Exhibited in this time of work on various types of paper, including fiberglassovoy executed in various techniques (watercolor, Chinese ink, pencil, acrylic, bamboo brush and mixed media), are a natural consequence of the St. Petersburg exhibition. Angel Orenzants was born in Spain in the province of Aragon. During his 40-year career, he managed to work in a variety of genres - chamber of graphics and paintings to monumental abstract sculptures and conceptual performance. Orenzants uses materials such as glass, ceramics, metal, colored plastics, and many others. Each of his work is documented in photographs and video. Portfolio Orenzantsa always closely linked with the places for which they are established, whether the natural landscape or a public space in the city. Many of his works ironically hinted at the social and geopolitical realities of today's globalized world. Exhibitions and performances Orenzantsa took place in dozens of countries, and he repeated the student participant and the Venice Biennale. His work has been presented in Russia. In 2003, Orenzants and Mikhail Shemyakin made a joint performance at the Palace Square in St. Petersburg to celebrate the 300 th anniversary of the city, and in 2006 saw the exhibition Orenzantsa in the Marble Palace Russian Museum. Moscow audience could see the work Orenzantsa in 2004, when its exhibition was held at the State Museum of AS Pushkin.
Svetlana Romanova: January 15 - February 1, 2009; Petrovka 25, room number 2, 3; opening - 14 January at 19.00
Svetlana Romanova - artists working in different directions, it is currently engaged in painting and creating stained glass for the interiors. Mona Brad. Photo: 29 January - 15 February 2009; Tverskoi Boulevard, 9, (Gallery «Zurab»); opening - 28 January at 19.00
Mona Brad was born in Kiel (Germany) in 1968, studied photography in Hamburg, Munich and Karlsruhe. Gain some time in Chicago, in 2007, Brad went to Asia and Russia and returned with a new series of photographs dedicated to Shanghai, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The work of recent years will be presented for the first time in Russia: Moscow Museum of Modern Art (from 28 January to 15 February 2009) and the State Center of Photography in St Petersburg (from April 3 to May 31, 2009). Today Mona Brad are most interesting places and people, their interactions with each other. She said: «I want my photos touching those who are watching. To the viewer incessantly returned to him, feeling every time something new, discovering the unknown. It is this goal determines the process of creating photographs ».
