Today at the Central House of Artists Exhibition of Russian cabinet bronze sculptures of the second half of the XIX century, organized by auction house «Kabinet»

Today, the auction house «Kabinet» presents exhibition project «Russian cabinet bronze sculpture of the second half of XIX century». It will be presented the first exhibition series фотопортретов «heroes bronze sculptures» performed by well-known Moscow photographer Sergei Shahidzhanyana.

a surprising bronze sculptures of the heroes of the greatest masters of the XIX century brought to the viewer at the same time and in bronze, and the genre of contemporary portrait photography. With makrouvelicheniya, special treatment of pictures, light and color solutions for the first time in detail can be seen clearly transferred features, all character, especially the national heroes of bronze sculptures. This certainly shows the possibility of an innovative combination of fine arts at the junction of the bronze sculptures and photography.

According to the quantity and quality of works of Russian artists collection of antique bronzes, collected home «Kabinet» nearly 10 years, it is comparable to the collections of ancient bronzes, stored in the Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery, Museum of History. Most research work on the description and the attribution of the bronze of Russian XIX century is reflected in the three academic catalogs and many other literature issued by the house over the years.

At the forthcoming exhibition of the Russian cabinet bronze sculpture will be presented to more than 70 items. Among them are works of outstanding artists: E. Lanceray , V. Grachev , N. Liberiha , F. Khodorovich , E. NAEC , P. Trubetskov , etc.

Russian cabinet bronze second half of XIX century - a relatively short period in the history of Russian art: from the early 1840's until the end of 1880. Father-founder of this direction is considered to be the baron Peter Klodt (the name we remember the passing of Peter on Anichkov Bridge). He studied cavalry officer Nicholas Liberia, which, in turn, studied Eugene Lanceray.

One of the most popular sculptors in the XIX century was the representative of the famous artistic dynasty Benoit - Lanceray Evgeniy Lanceray (1848-1887). He created mostly small figures, groups and, as a «large» by (kept many of his works), could reflect in his work all the possible themes and subjects, whether military, Oriental, African, Caucasian, hunting, historical themes, or , for example, the portrait genre.

Auction house «Kabinet» has exhibited his collection. But perhaps the first time all the works, which are presented in the CHA in December - will be put up for sale. Among the exhibits many masterpieces and unique works. In the plans of the house «Kabinet» make a grand display of Russian genre cabinet bronze with exhibits from major private collections (there are in Russia no more than five) and four from the collections of Russian museums, storing this material (Museum of decorative art, the Tretyakov Gallery, History Museum and the Russian Museum).

The exhibition is open from 4 to 14 December in the Central House of Artists on the Crimean shaft in the room number 9.
