The work of Natalia Goncharova was sold for $ 6.3 million

Held yesterday in new-Йорке the auction of Russian art Sotheby's brought 17.6 million dollars (here and below prices are inclusive of Commission of the auction), failed to reach the total estimate 19,4–28,2 million dollars. Of the 25 lots offered found buyers 13 (66,2 % in monetary terms). Five works have achieved a hammer price of over a million dollars, and three lots — over 3 million dollars.
Top-лотом was the work of Natalia Goncharova "Moscow street": fight rates led to a fourfold increase in the price of a hammer compared to its top estimate of 1.5 million, and the result was 6.3 million dollars. For Sotheby's it is the best result of Russian paintings at the specialized Russian bid.
Another favorite of the evening was Vasily Vereshchagin. His painting of the famous Indian series "Pearl mosque in Delhi", put up for auction Museum of fine arts, Boston, has changed ownership for 3.1 million dollars (estimate 3-5 million dollars).
Nikolai Fechin from the collection of the National Museum of cowboys and cultural heritage of the American West (Oklahoma) played well: three works brought in the sum of $ 3.98 million.
