"Lace on display" at the Museum of arts and crafts

All-Russian Museum of decorative-прикладного and folk art March 26, opens the exhibition "Lace show" about the history, symbolism, technology, and the types of lace from the XVIII century to our days.

"Off" — frankly, at the limit of sensuality @the mdas in the age of boudoirs and of engaging the art world in an intimate fashion decadence at the turn of XIX — twentieth centuries.
"Off" — is young and social procurements of the USSR, when masters of Vologda, Yelets, Ryazan, or of fine threads vyplati unimaginable scale five@or six-meter - lace panels for all-Russian exhibitions, designed to demonstrate the aspirations of the country in space exploration and the construction of "light the way".

the exhibition features over 300 works created in Russia and Western Europe in the XVIII — twenty-first centuries, from the first examples of metal lace for the costume of the higher nobility prior to modern interpretations of bobbin art in the spirit of "Gothic chic" and experimental projects by contemporary designers.
Exhibits from the State Tretyakov gallery, State Museum-заповедника "Tsaritsyno", Moscow Museum-усадьбы "Ostankino", "Museum of V. A. Tropinin and Moscow artists of his time" side by side with exhibits from the gallery "Three centuries" and private collections, as well as "Alexandre Vassiliev foundation", which gave about thirty of the rarest specimens of lace, fashion accessories and costume of Western Europe and Russia.
special attention deserves costumes, lingerie and accessories from various historical periods, including: the lace patterns Mariinsky school, based in St-Петербурге in 1883 by S. A. The exhibition is completed with the accessories of the XIX century — varied fans, the patch boxes, gloves, binoculars, bottles for perfumes and other items. Each of the exhibits offers not just a history of existence of the individual subject, but also the history of the whole era.
More than a hundred items from the vaults will present VMDPNI. Central among them are the lace panels 1930-60-х, social-политическими subjects. Nowhere in the world there are no analogues of "ideological" of lace, with a unique subject compositions, calling for the construction of a new life — the organization of collective farms, industry, space exploration.
in Addition to numerous examples of lace, the exhibition will be presented paintings of the XVIII — XX centuries, rare photographs, graphics and newsreels that reflect the symbolism and the use of lace in different periods of Russian and foreign history.
Special attention is paid to masterpieces from the State Tretyakov gallery: images of women in lace depicted in the paintings K. P. Briullov, . I. Argunova, V. G. Khudyakov, . N. GE, G. S.], Y. I. Pimenov. Here the famous "Spanish woman in white" N. Goncharova and "the Lacemaker" V. A. Tropinin.
Fans of glossy magazines will be interested to see the look of the most famous fashion magazines 150 years ago — for example, colored lithographic "pasting" from the magazine "Bazar" 1885-1889, with models for ladies intending to visit the exhibition, Opera or to go for holiday.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, viewers will see radical objects Olga Berg, rebellious spirit which turns the idea of the possibilities of ancient techniques of bobbin lace.

- triumph lace — fashion of the nineteenth century,
- boudoir
- lace in the USSR in 1930-50-х,
- lace in the homes of models and Soviet design 1960-70-х,
- special projects about contemporary design, fashion and experimental projects.
