at the Institute of Russian realist art opened the first exhibition of the project " as available" basis - exhibition of new acquisitions of the museum's Institute .
now meeting the Institute has more than six thousand works of art, and every year their number will grow. Sources of paintings in the collection are different. Most of the paintings was acquired from the authors themselves , their heirs or private owners , a few works - Russian or foreign auctions , something has been received as a gift . Some of the exhibited works have already been involved in a number of exhibitions, including foreign ones. Many of the audience will see for the first time . Several paintings for many years, are in private collections abroad , were literally returned to their homeland .

In the new exhibition works of masters of the early XX century, side by side with the paintings of artists of the sixties . Peter Ossowski , Viktor Ivanov , Igor Obrosov , Andrei Vasnetsov , Viktor Popkov , Sergei and Alexei Tkachev , Vladimir Stazharau , Zver'kov - this generation came to the art of the era of " thaw" but the author's position these artists are still relevant today .

Special Project , the exhibition of new acquisitions is showing a picture « Levi Matthew " ( 1900s ) . This is one of the most important acquisitions of the Institute of Russian realist art . For exhibiting paintings organized a separate exhibition space in the main hall of the first floor .
