Today, February 15, at 17.00 in the Exhibition Hall of the Moscow Union of Artists (Kuznetsk Bridge, 20) will be the opening of the exhibition "School". VHUTEMAS - VHUTEIN - "Polygraph" - this is the continuity of the names of the great school of art books, graphic artists.
2010 - the anniversary for the Faculty of Graphic Arts, Moscow State University Press. Legendary VHUTEMAS, which is the successor of our school, turns 90 years old. Graphic faculty VHUTEMAS in 1930 became the basis for the formation of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. Within the walls VHUTEMAS - VHUTEINA faculty called printing, and the word "polygraph" was the informal name of our faculty.
widely recognized head of the school is VA Favorsky . His disciples - vhutemasovtsy first releases - AD Goncharov , VP Zakharov, G. T . Goroschenko, AP Zhurov, II Chekmazov handed traditions of the school a new generation. In the early seventies, beginning his teaching job, many graduates, have become today its leading teachers. With the active participation of the dean YI Chuvasheva Department collects among its teachers the greatest artists of books, painters, graphic artists. A department of drawing and painting at various times headed the outstanding domestic masters, academics DD Zhilinskii , A. Vasnetsov , MP Miturich .
