Today, 17 September, at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Petrovka 25, 2 nd floor) presents "The tradition of non-conformism" from the private collection of Joseph Badalova.
Exhibition "Nonconformist Tradition" is a private collection of Joseph Badalova, which allows us to trace the evolution of creative non-conformist artists who began his way in the underground 1960's and continuing to work actively in our day.
Formation meeting began a few years ago, but today it has more than a hundred and fifty works. Paintings and drawings (mostly drawings of artists), sculpture and author porcelain form three independent, but at the same time, interconnected section of the collection. Main role in the collection is painting, and which serves as a unifying link.
first place in the painting collection and the number and quality of work is work Edward Steinberg . One could say that artist before monographically: More than 40 paintings and drawings from various periods provide an opportunity to see his creative research in its entirety. Suffice complete collection reflects the art Vladimir Nemukhin and Igor Vulokh . The collection also includes some of Vladimir Veisberg , Alexandra Danilova , Yuri Zheltova, Anatoly Zverev , Dmitry Krasnopevtsev , Yuri Cooper , Lydia Masterkova , Leonid Purygin , Oscar Rabin , Boris Sveshnikov , Anatoly Slepysheva , Alexander Kharitonov , Vladimir Yakovlev and Vladimir Yankylevsky .
Creative Vladimir Nemukhin in the collection represented the most diverse: in addition to 24 paintings and drawings, collected 15 sculptures in bronze, wood and porcelain, as well as 20 pieces of porcelain, sketches performed by the author.
section presents porcelain collector's passion for one of the "young" and so "trendy" areas of collecting activity. These include decorative porcelain, created based on sketches nonconformist artists (Vladimir Nemukhin, Lydia Masterkova, Oscar Rabin, Edward Steinberg, Vladimir Yankilevsky) and representatives of conceptual art ( Viktor Pivovarov , Paul Pepperstein ). Porcelain bring variety of decorative arts in the traditional painting-graphic tissue collection. This part of the collection consists of more than fifty objects made of well-known foreign and domestic ceramic production in extremely limited editions.
Collection of Joseph Badalova first demonstrated publicly. It shows that the work of recognized masters of the "second wave" avant-garde and today remains relevant. The tradition of non-conformism is not a thing of the past - this is confirmed by works created by artists in recent years. As before, these are true masters of their own independent line - and in art and in life.
The exhibition runs until October 18, 2009.
