VULOKH Igor Alexanrovich

When I begin to paint, I always decide that I will use, for example, only two-three colors and vertical line, in order to make within these limits the most of my abilities and to show who I am.

1. Vulokh

Igor Vulokh studied at Kazan Art School in 1953–1958. In 1957–1959 he studied at the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), at the faculty of art, under F. S. Bogorodsky.

Since 1956 Vulokh lives and works in Moscow. Since the same year he began to expose his works at exhibitions. Since 1961 he collaborated with poet G. Aygi, drew graphical series to poet’s books. In 1966–1968 Vulokh worked at Gorky Film Studio.

In 1971 Vulokh became a member of the Union of Artists.

The first personal exhibition of Vulokh was held in 1961 in exhibition hall of Moscow Section of the Union of Artists (MOSKh) in Moscow. During next years, personal exhibitions of the artist were organized in Moscow, in Germany, in Italy. In 1993 Vulokh was awarded grant of Ministry of Culture in Brandenburg (Germany). The exhibition of Vulpkh’s works was organized in the castle Weipersdorf.
