Today, July 16, the Corps Benoits Russian Museum opens exhibition Andrei Petrovich Ryabushkin (1861-1904).

The exhibition will feature works by AP Ryabushkin (1861-1904) from the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, the Scientific Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian Museum of AS Pushkin, Pskov Art Museum, as well as from private collections.

The exhibition shows famous paintings - «XVII century Moscow Street on a holiday», «Family merchant XVII Century», «Wedding Train in Moscow (XVII century)», «The Fun of Peter I in kruzhale», «go», «Moscow girl XVII Century», drawings and watercolors of various periods of creativity.

AP Ryabushkin most famous as the author of the paintings on the history and everyday themes in the life of late medieval Russia, in particular the XVII century. He wrote in the genre of the peasant life themes, portraits, landscapes, many worked as a book illustrator, doing sketches of monumental religious paintings.

Ryabushkin In 1875-1882 he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at VG Perova , in 1882-1890 - at the Academy of Arts in PP Chistyakova . In the 1890's frequently traveled to Russia (Borisoglebsk, Tula, Orel, Uglich, Yaroslavl, Rostov, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod). He has participated in exhibitions Peredvizhniki Association, the Society of Artists of historical painting (1895), «the world of art» (1898-1900), the Union of Russian Artists (1903), «36-ty artists» (1901, 1903).
