Duvidov belonged to a generation of Soviet artists, whose artistic personality was formed at the turn of 1960.

According to the official, has been published in Soviet times, the version of his biography, he was born in Moscow. In fact, the future artist was in the Soviet Union at the age of four and a half years, in July 1936, in the days of the rebellion in Spain. Father, by that time had not been spared. In 1989 in Moscow the exhibition of the artist, he was awarded the title «Honorary Artist of Russia». In 1997 he was awarded the title «The People's Artist of Russia».

In February 2000, Victor Duvidov tragically died.
