The exhibition of Vadim Sidur in France recognized unwanted

The exhibition "War and peace Vadim Sidur", which was held in the halls of the Russian spiritual-культурного Orthodox center in January 2017, "considered inappropriate". Earlier, the event was the Korsun diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

About the decision to cancel has already been prepared and previously agreed with the Embassy of the exhibition "War and peace Vadim Sidur" in Paris the organizers (MVO "Manege") said in his letter to the Ambassador of Russia in France Alexander Orlov.

But the management of the diocese of Korsun, referring to previous protests of the believers about the interpretation of the sculptor Christian images, opposed the holding of the exhibition on the eve of the visit of the Patriarch (3-5 December 2016). Then MVO "Manege" and the Embassy has postponed the exhibition for the period from 16 January to 12 February 2017. But during the Patriarch's visit to the Embassy was clearly stated position of the Russian Orthodox Church against secular-церковного nature of the Russian spiritual-культурного Orthodox center and demands a strict procedure for approval of planned actions. In this regard, the exhibition Sidur was recognized as undesirable. The Embassy confirmed the willingness to take out the exhibits in Moscow.

Under the previously existing protests of believers is meant, probably, the destruction of part of the exhibits on display "the Sculptures that we see" in the Arena 14 August 2015. On that day radical activists headed by Enteo, broke some linoleum planks of the Siddur. The activists were detained, serving administrative detention and under investigation. Criminal case about the pogrom of the exhibition was stopped in September 2016 – photo resolution on termination of criminal case in connection with absence of structure of a crime posted on the page the participant of the events in the Arena Lyudmila Esipova.
