Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum has released an application that will have a smartphone, iPhone and iPod touch players to learn more about the life and work of the great Dutch artist. Starting today a program called Yours, Vincent ( «Yours, Vincent"), available for free download from the iTunes online store App Store. With it you can listen to audio, watch video, explore digital reproductions of paintings and letters, even from outside the museum.
The output of this program, available in English and Dutch languages, timed to coincide with the exhibition "Letters of Van Gogh: the artist says," which will be open from 9 October 2009 to January 3, 2010. The exhibition is expected to put about 120 letters of Van Gogh, as well as some of his works, which are mentioned in the texts of letters.
