Gabriel Superfina Lecture at the Museum and Public Center Sakharov
National Center for Contemporary Art presents a lecture by Gabriel Superfina Archives samizdat, personal funds nonconformist artists and writers in Eastern Europe Institute, University of Bremen as part of the annual international fest
Tomorrow, August 10, at 19.00 in the Museum and Public Center Sakharov (str Zemlyanoy shaft, 57, p. 6) will begin a lecture Gabriel Superfina «Archives samizdat, personal funds nonconformist artists Writers and the Institute of Eastern Europe, University of Bremen ». It will be held at the annual international festival of contemporary art collections, organized by the National Center for Contemporary Arts (NCCA).
Gavrilovich Superfin Gabriel (born in 1943 in Udmurstskoy ASSR) - linguist, member of the human rights movement in the USSR. In the years 1964-1969 he studied at the Department of Russian Philology Faculty of History and Philology of Tartu University (student of Professor Yuri M. Lotman), dismissed by the KGB. In 1970-1972 was one of the editors of the clandestine human rights bulletin «chronicle of current events». In July 1973, arrested and sentenced under Article 70 (anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda) to 5 years imprisonment and 2 years of exile. Served in the Permian Period of political camps, the reference - in the Kazakh SSR.
In May 1983 emigrated from the Soviet Union, settled in Germany. In 1984-1994 years worked in the Archives of samizdat Radio «Freedom» (Munich). From 1995 to 2009 G. Superfin - Archivist Institute of Eastern Europe, University of Bremen, is now a consultant archive.
Superfin Gabriel - author of more than twenty literary publications, as editor and compiler has produced several books and anthologies.
In the archives of the Institute of Eastern Europe, University of Bremen are funds Alchuk A., C. Hensgen, È Gorokhovskaya , E. Gorchakova, B. Zhutovskogo , I. Golomshtoka, M. Grobman , Boris Groys, A. Brusilovsky , a large fund K. Aymermahera, as well as funds of Moscow's new archive Art (MA N . I.), the journal «A-I», Images from the life of the independent artists of Moscow and Paris.
