Konstantin Khudyakov was born on 2 January 1945 in the village of Volzhsky village in Saratov region. Childhood and youth were spent in his native village, in the house at the school. His father worked as a headmaster at a village school, mother taught the children the Russian language and literature, and in addition to the Konstantin family had six children. According to the memoirs of the artist himself, despite a fairly turbulent and adventurous childhood, the art he became interested in from an early age: "since the childhood I dreamed to be an artist".
the First few attempts at receipt in the Moscow architectural Institute was unsuccessful, a student of the Moscow architectural Institute Konstantin Khudyakov managed to become only the third time in 1965, he came to study at the Department of industrial architecture. While training Khudyakov, according to him, "very fond of technology — with projections, light and sound". In addition, the scope of his interests included constructivism and the avant-garde of the 1920–30s — the works of El Lissitzky and Kazimir Malevich, Le Corbusier, Ivan Leonidov, Vladimir Krinsky, Yakov Chernikhov. At the time of training at the Institute includes his first easel experiments in which he experimented with various techniques and materials, he decided on the plane of the spatial and plastic problems.
Perhaps it is this penchant for experimentation and the breadth of vision led in 1969 Khudyakov to victory in the student project competition of the new building of the Lenin Museum. "The Museum building is located on a site in the centre of Moscow to the West of the Kremlin on the street Volkhonka, between the Museums of fine arts of the West and the old building library. V. I. Lenin in the East", —, it was stated in terms of "adult" competition organized by the Moscow city (synthart.livejournal.com). In the opinion of the artist, the Museum building was a large cube, equipped with the latest technology and electronics.
And in 1971, he entered the history of the Institute as first author, submitted as a thesis is not a standard "kit of the architect", which consists of diagrams, drawings and models, and the video-арт. Konstantin Khudyakov was the first student who directed the film, imitating the walk of a man on the city of the future. The project, dubbed "city of the future in Siberia", was created under the influence of the ideas of European architects-новаторов of Yakov Chernikhov, Paolo Calleri, groups and NER Archigrem and was a large-scale paper layout of the city of 200 thousand people. "I designed a special device for 8-миллиметровой cameras, crawling with the camera in its huge paper layout, removing the city from the point of view of the person, and the defense was showing a movie",— recalled the artist in one interview.
he Received the diploma of architect, Khudyakov planned to continue teaching at the Institute at the Department of painting, but for the previous services he was sent for distribution to work in the Central Museum of V. I. Lenin (today — Museum of the Patriotic war of 1812) at the Revolution Square in Moscow. The Museum Khudyakov worked from 1972 to 1981, engaged in the creation and implementation of projects of reconstruction of the main exhibition halls of the Museum, as well as design (including the design Museum equipment) of numerous exhibitions of the Central Museum and its branches. In addition, he has also developed architectural and-дизайнерскую concept of reconstruction of the Museum building. In 1984 Khudyakov was awarded the title of Honored artist of the Kirghiz SSR for the design of the branches of the Central Lenin Museum in Frunze (Bishkek).
Despite the success of design and architectural projects, Khudyakov did not leave classes and easel art developed there own ideas, formed on the basis of constructivism and avant-garde. These art classes and participating in exhibitions of unofficial art (Khudyakov was part of the "twenty" — group "Twenty Moscow artists") and decided his fate. "In 1977-м I came to the basement of the city Committee schedules on the little Georgia street — says the artist. — After the "Voice of America" reported that in exhibitions of nonconformist artists involved the main museums of Lenin and Marx and Engels Khudyakov and Balls, I began to call on party committees, rolled a reprimand to be entered in a personal matter... In the end I left the Museum..."

Over time expands the set of his artistic methods and techniques: at the beginning of 1990-х to airbrush and photography, which Khudyakov worked in 1980-х, add camera and then the video projector. In the mid-1990-х Konstantin Khudyakov started to use in their works the possibilities of the graphical editors (e.g. Adobe Photoshop), becoming thus one of the first representatives of digital art (or digital-арта): "First I was afraid to go to her computer — not the age. But when mastered a few programs, I knew that was my instrument. Thank God that I waited! Easy and comfortable working. The computer allows me to speak out, to convey to the viewer what I feel. First was the primitive photoshop and what-то scenic program, imitating natural technique — painting, watercolor. Then — 3D program to create the virtual space of the Studio, a working Studio".
In 2007, the St. Konstantin Khudyakov from the use of digital technology to create two-dimensional easel paintings moved to project partially within digital, virtual space such as hisfamous interactive and intelligent picture. Then he began to experiment with VR/AR technology: "the Final product before displaying it on the canvas or paper becomes digital, which incorporates thousands of layers, transformations, treatments countless virtual, the incredible palette of their capabilities tools.
