painter and graphic artist.

In 1879-1883 he studied at the Odessa drawing school at LD Iorini, then in 1884-1888 - at the art academies in Munich, Paris and Rome. He lived in Odessa.

worked as a genre painter, portraitist, landscape painter. Created a work "in the workshop of the sculptor" (1889), "Petition" (1893), "In the bullpen" (1895), "Debate" (1902), "Could be a man" (1910).

participated in exhibitions TPHV (1893-1898, with interruptions), the Moscow Society of Lovers of Fine Arts (1899-1905, with interruptions), Saint-Petersburg Society of Artists (1901, 1905), the Association of South Russian Artists (1890 -1918, with interruptions).

Since 1917 - Member TYURH. In 1925 became one of the founders of the Association of Revolutionary Art of Ukraine. He played in the local press with the artistic and critical articles, placed the drawings, organized the exhibition. Held solo exhibitions in 1896, 1906, 1929 and 1938 (all - in Odessa).

perished during the Great Patriotic War.

Chisinau works are in many museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Odessa Art Museum and others.
