Engaged in the studio KF Juon and IO Dudina in Moscow (until 1919). In 1916 he received from IAH certificate for teaching in secondary schools.

lived in Moscow (until 1925) and Leningrad (since 1925). He painted landscapes, genre scenes and creating sketches. From 1909 - participant of exhibitions. Exhibitor of the Moscow Association of Artists (1918, 1922, 1924), TPHV (1918), association "World of Art" in Moscow, the Community of Artists (1925, 1928) in Leningrad. Participated in the Jubilee Exhibition of Fine Arts in Leningrad (1927).

died in the evacuation in Perm.

works are in several museum collections, including the State Russian Museum, Pushkin Museum im. Pushkin, Ryazan Regional Art Museum and others.
