came from a family of Greek businessmen. In 1889 he arrived in St. Petersburg. Worked at the Central School of Technical Drawing of Baron Alexander Stieglitz. In 1889-1897 he studied as an auditor in the IAH and the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at IAH in the workshops IIShishkin and AIKuindzhi. In 1892 he was awarded a small bonus medal. In 1895 he received the title of the class artist of the 3rd degree in 1897 for the landscape "Spring rain" was awarded the title of the class artist. In his work Himono adhered to the traditions of Russian landscape school. The favorite theme of the artist's works was the spring in southern Russia and Crimea. He had a reputation as an excellent colorist, seeking in his paintings of harmonious sound of color combinations and freshness of perception.

Himono works are in many museum and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum and others.
