he Studied at the Reval grammar school, then — in the Imperial Academy of arts (1879-1883). During the years of study was three times awarded a minor silver medal (1879 — historical composition; 1880 — landscape; 1881 @figure mdas), as well as a large silver medal (1880 — landscape).

Lived in St. Petersburg, in 1886-1888 — in Italy. Since 1883 engaged in decorative painting — performance ceiling, decorative panels in private homes in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Samara, and churches. He painted landscapes, genre paintings; worked a lot in watercolors. Traveled to Italy and France. Participated in exhibitions in the halls of the Imperial Academy of arts (1886, 1888), St-Петербургского society of artists.

With 1888 she taught porcelain painting at the Drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of arts.
