At the exhibition of works by Kazimir Malevich in Malaga presents about fifty works (sixteen of them for the first time brought to the exhibition in Spain), revealing his creative path: from samples of early work of the artist to world-famous works, including Suprematist. Kazimir Malevich — is the most famous and fearless representative of the Russian avant-garde. Artist, theorist, and teacher, he "blew up" the art world for his "Suprematism", becoming one of the pioneers of abstract art in 1910-е years. He's — the author of the mysterious and capacious "second peasant cycle", created in the late 1920-х —1930-е years. Russian Museum has the largest collection of wizards — more than two hundred works (paintings, drawings, works of decorative-прикладного art, including the famous "architectones"). Along with the exhibition Malevich, in Malaga, opened an exhibition of works by David Burliuk (1882-1967) — one of the most vivid characters of the Russian artistic culture of the early twentieth century, the "father of Russian futurism".
he was an initiator and participant in a variety of art events, organizations and exhibitions. He took an active part in the performances of the futurists, both as a theorist and poet, artist, and critic. Burliuk worked a lot in Russia, but a significant part of his legacy is scattered across multiple countries. After leaving Russia in 1920, David Burliuk spent two years in Japan where he created a series of works on the lines of futurism.
In 1922, he moved to America, where he lived until his death in 1967. For more than forty years of the American period of creativity, he wrote a large number of works in different styles, the subject of which wasthe daily lives of Americans, Russian and Ukrainian. There he was actively engaged in publishing.
Exhibition in Malaga presents 15 paintings by David Burliuk from the collection of the Russian Museum, created in the period from 1906 to 1940-е years. Among brought to Spain works — such acknowledged masterpieces Burliuk as "the Horse-молния" (1907?), "Field" (1908), "the Bridge (Landscape from four points of view)" (1911), "Portrait of the poet@- futurist Vasily Kamensky" (1917).
Regular temporary exhibitions from the Russian Museum collection are of permanent interest to the residents and guests of Andalusia. The branch was among the ten best museums in Spain, becoming the center of promotion of Russian art and culture.
