"Structure" in the Russian Museum
The earliest works in the exhibition made in 1960-х, the most recent — in our days, and each of them reflects the author's view on the concept of "structure"
Russian Museum will introduce viewers to the works of famous artists, such as Vitaly Pushnitsky, Alexander Kozhin, Alexei Kostroma, Francisco Infante-Арана and young artists. The exhibition will present new models or matrix structures, the most common in the art of the past and present centuries and turned into sustainable plastic motives (grid/mesh, crystal, chain, spiral, etc.). Special section of the exhibition will be the so-called "urban structure" — work associated with existence in the urban environment, the representation and comprehension of the modern city.
the exhibition includes over 200 works — objects, sculptures, paintings, drawings from the collection of the State Russian Museum, the New Museum (Saint-Петербург), Museum of organic culture (Kolomna), galleries, private collections, studios of authors.
