Powerful, memorable and yet still amazingly underrated artist of the Leningrad post-war unofficial art. In 1974, Gleb Bogomolov, along with Arefieva, Hot and Rohini participated in avant-garde exhibitions in DK. Gas, and in 1975-м — in DC "Nevsky", which was the name of the rebellious "gazanevsky culture." In 1980-х spiritual quest led Bogomolov to dive into Byzantine culture, which strongly influenced his visual language. Portraits of Romans, mosaics of Byzantium, the architectural loss and the signs of decline became new sources of inspiration for the artist. The exhibition "Byzantine visa" — the quintessential experience of iskatelstva artist. It included the works of the most valuable periods of his work.

From mid-2000-х years of work of Gleb Bogomolov's more than 30 times were exhibited at Russian and foreign auctions. In particular, in 2015 our AI Auction were sold two paintings. A record price was set in the peak for the art market 2006, at Sotheby's — almost $13,000 in the conversion of pounds by the exchange rate.
