"Tahir Salahov. The sun is high": the Tretyakov gallery is preparing a major exhibition of one of leaders of "severe style"
From 22 January to 20 March at the Tretyakov gallery in Lavrushinsky lane will show the works of Tahir Salahov
In the Tretyakov gallery will debut the works of Tahir Salahov (b. 1928), one of the leaders of "severe style". The Exhibition "Tair Salakhov. The sun" opens January 22 and runs until March 20.
Brutal painting Tahir Salahov appealing the glorification of labor, monumentality, a generalized form. Depict characters — characters of their eras. Many of them — emphasized courageous, strong in spirit, collected and ready to deal with the challenges before them. The exhibition will show how vibrant and expressive style has changed over the nearly 60-летней creative life and seamlessly included in every new decade.
the exhibition will feature works from the collection of the Tretyakov gallery, Russian Museum, National art Museum of Azerbaijan named after Rustam Mustafayev, Azerbaijan national art gallery, Home-музея of Tahir Salahov in Baku, private collections.
