Ernst Neizvestny. Return to the arena
5 January in the Central Arena will host the exhibition "Ernst Neizvestny. Return to the arena" dedicated to the 90-летию sculptor-шестидесятника. The exposition will include more than 20 sculptures of 1960-х — 2000-х years, more than 50 canvases and 60 graphic works of the artist: painting, engraving, lithography. The exhibition is accompanied by extensive information material: rare photographs from the archives of Felix Komarov, Sverdlovsk regional local Lore Museum and of the author's family; documentaries: "the Bronze age of Ernst Neizvestny" provided by the TV channel "Russia-1", and "I trust your madness" provided by a broadcasting company "Ostankino".
Unknown — a man of amazing destiny. A volunteer went to the front, was seriously wounded, he returned to art after the Victory and worked it so that no he was not terrible. Actually, why the exhibition is called "Return to arena"? In the hard and dangerous dispute most strongly remember is Ernst Neizvestny. For him, this conflict ended with oppression and forced emigration in 1976. It is interesting that many years later it is Unknown was asked to do a sculpted gravestone Khrushchev that the master did.
the exhibition catalog was published with illustrations of all the works and the introductory articles of art historians Matafonova Y. K. and S. V. Popov.
