Tomorrow in the framework of the project "Artists in the House Ostroukhova" State literary Museum and gallery "vellum" open exhibition Ballantyne "Here is what you, the suburbs". The exhibition, which is deployed in the "House of I. C. Ostroukhova in pipe manufacturers", presented more than 60 drawings included in the album "Pavlovskaya Sloboda" from the collection of the gallery "vellum".

Tatiana Mavrina (1900-1996) is known for his illustrations to literary works — for my life it has issued more than 200 children's books, including Pushkin and Russian folk tales. His artistic journey she began in 1921-1929 years in VKHUTEMAS — the TENT, where he studied at Nicholas Sinezubov and Robert. After graduating from the higher art and technical studios Tatiana Mavrina was a member of "Thirteen", the members of which were determined the main features of his work as "a healthy and joyful perception of life, alien Gothic fractures and mental unbalance". Creativity Mavrina  is a compound of French impressionism, primitivism, old Russian and folk art. Distinctive manner of the artist has brought her fame not only in the USSR, where in 1975 year she was awarded the state prize of the USSR, but also in the world: in 1976 Tatiana Mavrina awarded the Andersen prize for contribution to illustrating children's books. since the 1950s, Tatiana Mavrina traveled extensively in historic Russian cities. One of the results of suburban journeys was the book-album "Pavlovskaya Sloboda", a collection of drawings, watercolors and gouache. According to one of the curators of the exhibition, love, Agafonova, creating albums on trips, Mavrina lived, passes through not only the architecture of small towns and old Russian villages and their inhabitants: humans and animals. In the album, the artist continued the dialogue with the literature — the mood of works akin to the Venedikt Erofeev's poem "Moscow  end of the line" and "Reserve" Dovlatova@

Curators continue literary allusions — in the framework of the exhibition will be presented a new edition of "Pavlovskaya Sloboda" in which each sheet Mavrina get poetic reflection of the artist and poet Herman Vinogradov@
