Today, June 10, at 16:00 at the State Museum of A. S. Pushkin in Moscow opens the exhibition "Land of the midday magic land..." timed to 195-летию lot of A. S. Pushkin in the Crimea and on the history of relations of Russia and the Crimea whose fates were inextricably linked for several centuries. the Exhibition consists of four sections. The first of these were exhibits related to the inclusion of Crimea into the Russian Empire in the XVIII century. Portraits of Catherine II and the "great Prince of Tauris" G. A. Potemkin; engraving 1747 "Taking Russian Ochakovo" — fortress on the Northern coast of the Black sea, in the XVIII century former key point in the struggle of the Russian troops against the Turks-османами for control of the Crimea. Among rare books @. "the Journey of Her Imperial Majesty in the South side of Russia..." (SPb., 1786), devoted an unprecedented scale, number of participants and the cost of the voyage of Catherine II in South gubernii@

Next section is devoted to the journey of A. S. Pushkin in the Crimea, taken by the poet in 1820 with the family of the famous General N. N. Rajewski. Image of the Crimean cities of the time allow you to trace the route of Pushkin's journey: from Kerch to Feodosia, then in Gurzuf, where Pushkin spent about three weeks, and at the end — in Bakhchisarai and Simferopol. Especially excited the poet's visit to Bakhchisaray. The result of this trip was the poem "the fountain of Bakhchisarai", many lines of "Eugene Onegin", the poem "Extinguished daylight...", "Nereid", "Thins flying ridge of the clouds..." and others. In watercolors, engravings, lithographs and paintings the audience will see Crimea first third of the XIX century, praised by A. S. Pushkin, A. Mickiewicz and other poets of the time. Majestic nature of the Crimean Peninsula and its historic tradition of attracting many of Pushkin's contemporaries. In 1815 K. N. Batyushkov was written "Tavrida" — one of his best elegies. In 1823 in St. Petersburg saw the light of the book of diplomat and writer I. M. Muravyov-Апостола "Journey to Tauris in 1820", which contained valuable information on archeology, flora and fauna of the Crimea, as well as colorful descriptions of Eastern customs. The result of trips around the Peninsula of Adam Mickiewicz was a series of "Crimean sonnets".

the exhibition features many portraits of Pushkin's contemporaries who have made significant contributions to the improvement and prosperity of the Crimean Peninsula. This, of course, count, and subsequently Highness Prince M. S. Vorontsov, the Governor of Novorossiysk and the owner of the estate in Alupka. In an effort to familiarize the society with the views of the Crimea, he was invited there by artists such as F. wolf, N. G. Chernetsov, K. During the Crimean war 26-летний Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy was in the army in the besieged Sevastopol from November 1854 to August 1855. In the 1910s hospitable home of the poet Maximilian Voloshin in Koktebel became a refuge and resting place of writers, actors, artists, and scientists. There were Valery Bryusov, Andrew White, Alexei Tolstoy, Nikolai Gumilev, Marina Tsvetaeva, Osip Mandelstam and drugie@

Alexander green, is also very fond of the Crimea, moved there permanently in 1924. His wife Nina recalled: "We moved to Feodosia and do not regret it: it was then a virgin-well, beautifully and cheaply, without an abundance of holidaymakers..."
