More than 90 paintings and 50 drawings from Russian and foreign museums and private collections on display in the Lower hall of the Central exhibition hall "Manezh". Work last years identify new horizons of evolution of the artist since his last retrospective exhibition in Moscow (the state Tretyakov gallery, 2006). Exhibition of Erik Bulatov was to be held in mid-2013. It was expected that Moscow will see the exposition, has just returned from Monaco. Subsequently, however, the authors of the project the idea decided to give up and to prepare your own original exposition Bulatov — with a new conceptual challenge and as wide as possible in composition. The exhibition presents works from 17 museums and private collections in Russia, France, Switzerland, UK. The exhibition includes over thirty paintings never shown in Rossii@

the Project involves the conceptual understanding of the contribution of Bulatov in the history of modern art. In his works, the author poses questions that are extremely important for the new art: the relationship of word and image in the visual space, determining the position of the viewer, the interaction of tradition and innovation. The exhibition proposes to trace the development of these ideas in the last 50 years and their reflection in all key series and at all stages of creativity. This way allows us to consider art Bulatov regardless of the historical and stylistic clichés to which his name was attached during previous decades — nonconformism pop-арт, SOC-арт, photorealism, etc p@

Bulatov — a Creator of images that have become universal visual models for Russian art.
