"To fly is ready?". Space in contemporary art
Tomorrow MMSI opens an exhibition dedicated to the transformation and reinterpretation image astronaut and space in the works of contemporary artists. The exhibition will feature approximately 40 works of famous authors

Tomorrow Moscow Museum of Modern art presents the project " to fly ready? " dedicated to the transformation and reinterpretation image astronaut and space in the works of contemporary artists . The exhibition will feature approximately 40 works of famous authors , on-time performance related strictly to the most recent period - XXI century : art objects , installations, paintings , sculpture, photography , video art .
Project shows that the topic of space in our time remains valid , although the attitude of the society and , in contemporary art markedly transformed from rampant romanticism time of the first flight , through indifference to the current period of the late ironically philosophical perception. And for the artists in the first quarter of the XXI century - and the Sky and Space and the Universe , and a separate image of astronauts as personified object and subject of the Universe - is still a source of inspiration .
The exhibition brings together works stylistically different , genres and performance techniques work. Painting on the classic canvas and wood ( S. Bazilev "Gagarin on the beach " , V.
