In Slovak Institute in Moscow, opened the exhibition "The Two Worlds of Paul Pehi" from the cycle "Slovak picture XX - XXI century».

Since the summer of 2009, Slovak Institute in Moscow come one after the other major figures of contemporary photography in Central Europe. There have already visited a conceptualist and idealist Rudolf Sikora , lyuminograf Kamil Varga, storyteller Robo Kochan. The fifth exhibition, which continues the cycle "Slovak picture XX - XXI centuries" personal again. Coming to Moscow "intuitive Theater" Paul Pehi.

Exhibition Pehi "Two Worlds" - the December event, not a children's Christmas fantasy, but a parable for adults, the subject of which, incidentally, izvechen: the relationship between worlds - an external, real, and inner, perfect - the dialogue of male and female, hierarchy of generations and social roles. In the exhibition of Slovak artists including works of two cycles - "My intuitive Theater" and "Art of the camera. Both series it creates is not the first decade, as if it were two interminable novel, the length of his life. But the title of the exhibition - "Two Worlds" - is not talking so much about the opposition of two series of the artist, but about his presence in two worlds simultaneously: "I live in two worlds. One real, the second - as an alternative, created from the negative disrespect to the real world. The second is more valuable to me. He - my mirror, my image. Constant self-monitoring of its changes, it is in a ceaseless transformation. Gradually, I close it. Maybe, willingly, and can, if necessary. After all, he is better and very real. There is no pragmatism, rationality, tolerance, or superficiality. It does not have to explain anything. It's filled with fantasy, absurd situations and play. He serves me a mirror, substituted the real world. I open it my world slowly. It is impossible to know immediately. And even if I find something, it would soon change. This exciting adventure. This contact with the transcendent ».

Other views of creativity - as an ivory tower, set on the wind rose the real world - it is difficult to expect from the author, still believe their youth. In the late 1980's Pecha was a member of the Devyatiskorostnoy cloud bicycle "uniting young maniacs who wanders into a team that just as entangled in the forest travelers going on a meadow. They were looking for himself in the thicket of post-modernism - its theater, literature, poetry, cinema, painting, photography and performance.

Pavel Pecha managed to get through to the fine simplicity of language, to minimalism, the modern is apparent than one year. His work, especially the "Painting a camera", - new abstract art, created by means of photography. This is a continuation of the line of modernist forms of cognition and its spatial capabilities.

parallel Pecha working on fictitious scenes involving many characters (cycle "My intuitive Theater), and these performances resemble the visual documentation of lost ancient dramas : Pecha serves as screenwriter and director, set designer and operator, with a wave whose scenes from his imagination moved into the real landscape unfolds in the margins, in the midst of emptiness, exposed to wind, sun and rain.

In recent years, Moscow audiences have seen many theatrical Action synthetic blend of the traditional street carnival and circus, drama theater and opera. Pecha brings theatrical action in the exhibition hall, it allows the viewer to remain indefinitely in one scene, finding it more and more emotional nuances. Pecha thin feels that as a director he can be realized only in photographs, like a cinema and graphic art, and yet different from them: picture allows the viewer to be on stage, inside address space of the game in all its details, to experience each of them as a great value. Emptiness becomes an important actor in his "intuitive Theater, and the photographer - director of the mood of emptiness.

Pavel Pecha (1962), was born in Kremnica. Graduated High School in the metallurgical craft Banská Štiavnica (1981), the Institute for Creative Photography at the Union of Czech Photographers (SČF) (1984) and FAMU (Dept. of photography, 1994) in Prague.
