Today, August 12, at 18.00 in the new hall of the Museum of the History of Moscow - the architectural complex «Proviantskie Stores» a Moscow exhibition of the famous sculptor Leonid Baranov «Dialogues history». This large-scale retrospective is dedicated to the 65 th anniversary of the master and the 40 th anniversary of his creative activity.

Exhibition «Dialogues history» defines one of the main themes of his work, turned into a vast gallery of images of famous personalities of Russian and European history and culture.

The exhibition presents about 200 works by the sculptor of all times - from the late 1960's to present. The exhibition of works of different sizes - from chamber desk sculptures to models of monuments set or implied to the installation in an urban environment, as well as their options for public interiors. An important aspect of the exhibition is the variety of techniques executed sculptures - cast in bronze and aluminum, the use of plaster casts, and first as a basis for a color image, planer copper, playing in the tree, the combination of different materials in one sculpture, activation of metal surfaces color and texture.

The exhibition combines as isolated pieces, and songs from several sculptures. The method of creation of these spatial groups became the hallmark of the exhibition and museum shows Leonid Baranov.

Some composite nodes - Production on Pushkin and Dostoyevsky. For example, in the center of sculptures of Dostoevsky is a model of the monument, installed in Baden-Baden in 2004. Special sections devoted to a large sculpture made Baranov for Moscow: it is a monument to the architects Bazhenov and Kazakov to the palace ensemble Tsaritsyno, Suvorova bust for the Catherine Park, a monument to Peter I and the doctor Bidloo in the General Military Hospital im. NN Burdenko in Lefortovo, sculptural composition made a memorable mark on the house painter on Zubovskaya area.

«Dialogues history» in exhibition supported by a number of exhibits of different eras from the collection of the Museum of Moscow. By itself, this exposition of the personal exhibition in the new space of the historic buildings can be read as a kind of installation - a work of sculptor Leonid Baranov.
