Today magazine «Our Heritage» Slovakia «G.O.S.T.» Exhibition «Russian abroad: new ways of». Vernissage will be held at 17.00 in the exhibition hall of editorial board «Our Heritage» (1 st Neopalimovsky lane 4).
The exhibition presents paintings and graphic works of Antonina Voronina (1908-1996), Alexandra Kramorovoy (1904-1978), as well as Ivan Puni (1894-1956), Burliuk David (1882-1967 ), Serebryakova (1884-1967), George Pozhedaeva (1897-1971), Cherkesov Yuri (1900-1943), Serebryakova Alexandra (1907-1995) and other authors.
The joint exhibition project gallery G.O.S.T. and the magazine «Our Heritage» for the first time in Moscow, describes the paintings of two sisters, former residents of St. Petersburg, graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts later, Antonina Voronina (1908-1996) and Alexandra Kramorovoy (1904-1978). Their work deserves the attention not only as a new page in the history of Russian foreign countries, but also as an example of careful and enthusiastic attitude to tradition, profession, skill, and that in itself has always respected and noble, regardless of the fate of geography and circumstances of origin.
Alexandra Kramorova (2 May 1904, Warsaw - 15 June 1978, New York).
Antonin Voronina (3 June 1908, St. Petersburg - 1 August 1996, New York).
Kramorova Alexander and Antonina Voronin, born Sechinskie sisters were born in the family Gerasim Sechinskogo, Life Hussar from Petersburg, and Moskvichka Antonina Karzinkin. In 1923 they, along with his parents moved to Poland, where the family had an estate. Sisters Sechinskie graduated from the Academy of Arts in Warsaw. All of their work that time lost during the Second World War. After the war, Alexander Voronin, Antonina Kramorova and settled in Germany, and since 1950 - in America, where she studied teaching. In New York, led by the School of the two sisters (Two Sisters' School).
worked and exhibited Kramorova Alexander and Antonina Voronin always together, the exhibition took place in the Barbizon Gallery, Ahda Artz Gallery (New York), Russian-American Artists Association (New York), private galleries in Paris . In 1992 their first exhibition in Russia was in the Yaroslavl Art Museum.
Artworks Alexandra Kramorovoy and Antonina Voronina stored in the Long Island Museum of Women's Art and Great Falls Museum of Fine Arts, in the Yaroslavl Art Museum, as well as in private collections in the United States, Britain, France and Russia.
Exhibition «Russian abroad: new ways of» will last until 24 May 2009. Admission is free.
