In the past year, three experts museums - the Pompidou Center in Paris, Munich gallery Lenbahhauz and the New York Guggenheim Museum - have decided to jointly conduct a large-scale retrospective of the efforts of Vasily Kandinsky. It was combined works from their own collections, which are considered to be the largest in the world, as well as some works from the collections of other organizations and individuals. This impressive exhibition had already visited in Munich , and now has opened in Paris at the Pompidou Center . In the future it will be able to see the residents of New York (from September 2009 to January 2010).

The exhibition, which represented about a hundred works of 1907-1942 years, introduces viewers to various aspects of Kandinsky and focuses on key periods of his creativity. Retrospective at the Pompidou Center complement the work of Kandinsky, recently ÐÏÐÏÌÎÉ×ÛÉÅ own collection. This is a watercolor and manuscripts Sc. «Russian period» from 1914 to 1921, as well as the portfolio that was released in honor of the 60 th anniversary of the master in the Bauhaus school in 1926. So far, the last major exhibition devoted to Kandinsky, held at the Pompidou in 1984 after receiving a bequest of the artist's works on his wife, Nina Kandinsky.

Kandinsky made a huge contribution to the art of modernism and, in particular the formation of abstract art. It tried to reflect the organizers of the exhibition. The exhibition is organized chronologically, which allows us to trace the logical development of ideas of the artist and his relationship with his era. Changing its vision of copyright may be considered through the main motivation: the horse and rider, mountain and sea views, and apocalyptic religious imagery. The curators have tried to show how his aesthetic theories were translated into paintings. This provides an opportunity to reconsider the traditional time at nd and geographical periodization, which apply to his work.

At the exhibition, visitors can see the famous «impressions», «Improvisation» and «Composition» Kandinsky. Moreover, thanks to the efforts of specialists Guggenheim, Pompidou and Lenbahhauz exhibition brings together works that are rarely presented together. For example, one of the earliest masterpieces «colorful life», held in Munich meeting, and the work of «bright picture» of the Guggenheim Museum - one of the first really abstract paintings by Kandinsky, which is not shown even in their own galleries in the museum with the 1970's. Thus, viewers will get a rare opportunity to compare the many works that have always been far away from each other.

Vasily Kandinsky was one of the pioneers of abstract art and the great theorists of Modernism. His book «On the spiritual in art», saw the light at Munich in 1912, was the first theoretical justification of abstract art - art does not depend on observation of real world objects. Kandinsky was fascinated sinesteziey, and in particular the relationship between painting and music. He wanted to give painting the same freedom from the reality of what he felt in music. By opening itself to the new subject for art, based on the «inner world» painter, Kandinsky remained faithful to him until the end of his life.
